Bio

Who am I?

Jennifer J. Hill aka JJ, born in Kenner, Louisiana. Homebase for now is Longwood, Florida; however, I am currently living in Bristol, England while pursuing my Ph.D. at the University of Bristol, School for Earth Sciences.

How it all started?

I was in the right place at the right time! My commercial photography business began in 2008, during my last month as an intern at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. I continued contract work for the Smithsonian during and after graduating Cum Laude from R.I.T. in Rochester, New York with a BS in Biomedical Photographic Communications with a double concentration in Photomicrography and Ophthalmic Photography, with a minor in Archaeology. In 2011, I obtained my MS in Applied Science of Microscopy and Microanalysis from the University of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.

What inspires me?

Investigating and discovering the unknown. I have a diverse technological background in the fundamentals of analog and digital photography. I enjoy using different methodologies and techniques in various fields such as anthropology, archaeology, biology, botany, and paleontology.
